How do you run your blog?

Please repost; do not reblog.

Speed

Speed depends on the thread, the mun, the character.  If we have ( even if vaguely! ) plotted our thread, I will be apt to respond in a timely manner; I do because there’s no burden of ‘what should my character say or do now?’ on my shoulders. There’s also excitement for what will happen next! Otherwise, I’m extremely slow.

Replies

I always strive to match length. I also try to give enough information in my threads to which a writing partner can respond; however, sometimes things grow stale. If this happens, I’ll message you. I expect the same courtesy of you if you’re out of ideas. And, if you want to drop something, you can always message me. I will understand! Please don’t ever feel guilty.

Also, I tend to stay away from one-liners. Jaqen’s interactions work best with actions and thoughts involved — not just words.

I’m also always willing to go back and tweak replies. Please, never hesitate to tell me if you were thinking about the thread going in a different direction.

Starters

I never mind writing starters! I do try to adhere to the ‘you approach me, you write a starter; I approach you, I write a starter’ method, but it all boils down to what makes the most sense. If my character is reuniting with yours and recognizes yours, I should write the starter because it makes sense that my character would speak to yours first.

Inbox

IC and OOC messages are always welcome through IM or the askbox. Memes are always accepted, even after a few days/weeks. What are we here for, if not to write?

Selectivity

It’s hard to interact with a lot of other characters because Jaqen has approximately one page of pure dialoguein total. This means that when he strays too far from this page, it feels ooc for me, and I don’t want to write ooc things. I’ve experienced this on my blog many a time, and I hate feeling this way. This means that I am now extremely selective with whom I follow and write with ONLY because I don’t want to be too ooc. I don’t follow back very violent muses bc I don’t see Jaqen interacting with them; I don’t follow back most other fandoms bc I don’t see Jaqen being too far away from ASOIAF; I don’t follow back certain houses/ASOIAF characters/OCs/etc. for the same reason.

It’s just a challenge to feel IC with Jaqen, so I appreciate your understanding. Thus, I’ll only follow you if our characters can interact in one way or another, or if I like your writing/presence on the dash.

Wishlist item

Probably, as @daryliisms said, consistent muses to write with and message. It’s great to have writing chemistry and explore different universes and situations with our characters.

Also, more AUs.

Honest note

If you’re a bag of salt, we will not get along. If all you do is complain about things that bother you on the dash, or if you consistently slam GOT, I will likely unfollow you — unless we’re close ooc or writing partners. My muse and I are ever-smiling, and that’s what we like to see on the dash.

A few more admissions

I’m always available to speak ic or ooc on other platforms. Chatting endlessly about AUs/nuances in characterization/book theories makes me happy, and I love meeting other people who love to do that. Always feel free to message me!

Also, as always, I’m here to let you all know that death is not romanticized on this blog. Jaqen kills in the name of mercy/the name of the Many-Faced God. The glorification of death is not welcome here.
